Hingham 4th of July Fundraiser

On April 26th I volunteered at the Hingham 4th of July Fundraiser held at Black Rock Country Club. This event helps raise the over $30,000 needed to put on the parade not funded by the town. The committee seeks out items for a silent auction and had over 70 items up for bid. I met some great people and regret that I will not be able to attend the parade this year.

Silpada/Knits Fundraiser

On April 23rd my mother hosted a fundraiser for my year ahead. Both Silpada and Nancy Basler Knits had volunteered to donate a potion of sales to me to help with the costs of the year. The more money I can raise or receive in sponsorships the more people I will be able to reach out to about Cervical Cancer Awareness. I am still accepting donations through my sponsor goal webpage (http://www.sponsorgoal.com/2013/02/06/mrs-massachusetts-international-2013/) and have another fundraiser coming up in May!

Doggy Dash

On April 14th I took my love for animals and volunteered at the Doggy Dash put on by Wicked Awesome Productions. Participants ran or walked a 2 mile course with their dogs for local charity. It was a great day to spend time with my family as well as my own dog.

Against the Tides

On June 22nd I will be appearing at the Against the Tides event for the Massachusetts Breast Cancer Coalition. During this event participants get to swim, walk/run and kayak for the prevention of breast cancer. I will also be looking for a swim team to swim on my behalf!

The walk had a great turnout with over 900 walkers preregistered
 Posing with some fans
April 7th I volunteered with Walk MS for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. I had the pleasure of meeting a lot of supporters and hearing a few touching stories. This is what makes it all worth it. This 6 mile walk brought in a lot of participants and a luckily had wonderful weather. I am happy to help with making a difference in the treatment and awareness of this condition.

Snap-On Event

On April 3rd I had the opportunity to participate at a Snap-On event with local business owners. I had fun meeting new people and being in my husbands element for once. I look forward to doing more events with them.
